Camera Movement

Camera movement helps immerse the viewer in the audio-visual narrative and reveal new information within each shot. A moving camera can also follow important characters and keep them centred on screen, which is an important part of visual storytelling.

In this tutorial you will learn:

  • The types of camera movement and how they can help move a story forward;
  • What depth of field is, and;
  • How focus and movement are used to add additional layers of meaning.
